Swimming through aquamarine
is like sucking
refreshing gulps
of coolness that drifts
and glides, forming
chill bump mountains.
It is rain
between fingertips
washing away
the grime
beneath nails.
It is relief
condensed on dry
tongues. The sweet,
innocent taste of
mineral purity.
It cools the red veins
popping out of my
eye sockets, pushes
me into a sea where
I'm swimming through aquamarine.
